If you are experiencing difficulties with reading due to a stroke or brain injury, this app can assist you in improving. It provides engaging exercises with text and audio support to practice reading.

Advanced Reading Therapy utilizes technology to aid struggling adult readers in comprehending paragraph- and multi-paragraph-level passages. It promotes metacognitive awareness through self-ratings, tests comprehension with comprehension questions, and enables greater success and independence with helpful hints. Score reports make it easy to monitor progress along the three graded levels:

<ul>
<li>Level 1: Shorter passages of 50 words or less, written at a reading level of Grade 0 – 1. Three comprehension questions follow each passage.</li>
<li>Level 2: Medium passages of 50-150 words, written at a reading level of Grade 2 – 3. Four questions assess comprehension.</li>
<li>Level 3: More challenging passages, preparing you for the texts you want to read. These passages consist of 150 – 600 words and have a reading level of Grade 3 – 6. Each passage is accompanied by five comprehension questions.</li>
</ul>

Adult readers will appreciate the functional and entertaining passages offered in this app as they regain their ability to read in their daily lives. Speech-language pathologists will find value in the abundance of modern reading passages and thoughtfully crafted questions, which can be used as teaching tools.

The app includes built-in audio controls that allow you to listen to a single word, go sentence-by-sentence, or hear the entire article as needed. With over 200 reading rehabilitation exercises across 15 categories, there is a wide variety of content to choose from.
